The whole world loves the Olympic Games.Thousands of people attend and more than 1,000,000,000 people watch them on television.The tirst Olympic Games took place at Olympia, Greece, in 776 BC. More than 20,000 people watched it.For many years,the short-distance run was the only game.The people watched the njnners run 185 meters. Only 13 countries took part in the first modem Olympic Games in 1896.One hundred years later,197 countries joined in.
