Wuhan has an old history and rich cultural traditions. It began to prosper as a commercial town about two thousand years ago when it was called Yingwuzhou (Parrot beach). From the first century to the beginning of the third century the towns of Hanyang and Wuchang began to take shape. During the Song Dynasty (960-1279) the area became one of the most prosperous commercial centers along the Yangtze River. By the end of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) Hankou had become one of the four most famous cities in China.
Today Wuhan is the political economic and cultural center of Central China. It boasts of one of China‘s leading iron and steel complexes -- the Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation. Wuhan is also a city with a strong revolutionary tradition.

Located in the middle of China Wuhan is a good place for tourists.It is a pleasant city with beautiful lakesmany parks and modern malls which are worth visiting.They all are waiting for you.Hubei province is called“A province with thousands of lakes”.The East Lake in Wuhan much bigger than the West Lake in Hangzhou is as beautiful as the West Lake. The best way to experience the East Lake is to take a boat tour. It must be memorable.
Walking along the Chang jiang River is perfect . While walking on the bridge you can get a view of three parts of Wuhan .It is really a feast for the eyes.Hankou is Wuhan’s commercial heart.There are many modern skysckyscrapers there. It’s a shopper’s paradise. The famous business street is called Jianghan Road.Yon can enjoy the local special food and explore the lively nightlife.
Despite its size and modern look Wuhan has still kept its old traditions and culture. Yellow Grane Tower has a long history.Many poets wrote pretty poems for it. Some templessuch as Guiyuan Templerepresent archaic religion.If you are interested in history Hubei Museum is a good choice.You can learn about the art history and culture of city.
There is no such thing as a bad time to go to Wuhan.Each season has its characteristic. Whenever you come there are plenty of activities to choose from.Wuhan is a friendly destination that welcomes tourists of all ages. A trip to Wuhan will give you a glimpse of the happy lifest
3我的家乡武汉 There is a popular folk saying that goes: “In the sky there’s the nine-headed bird; here on earth there are the folk of Hubei”. Wuhan is the capital city of Hubei province.
The Yangtze River and its largest branch the Hanshui divide Wuhan into three parts namely Wuchang Hankou and Hanyang.[2] The temperature can reach 40 centigrade in summer and the hot weather lingers for two months.
Wuhan’s hot weather has led to some special customs among local people. In the summer there is no more enjoyable entertainment than swimming. Many swimmers take great delight in swimming across the Yangtze River. From 1956 Mao Zedong swam across it 18 times and wrote many famous poems.
Like many famous cities have their special food Wuhan also has a lot. Famous Wuhan snacks include Laotongcheng’s sanxian doupi Cailinji’s reganmian Xiaotaoyuan’s soup Sijimei’s baozi Wufangzhai’s tangyuan and Xierongde’s mianwo.
Wuhan also has many places of historic interest. On top of Snake Mountain in Wuchang on the south bank rises the Yello Crane Tower (Huanghelou). Many poets wrote some poems about this Tower. The tower is one of the top three ancient towers of southern China; the others being the Yuyang Tower in Hunan and Tengwangge Tower in Jiangxi.
Nowadays Wuhan becomes Chinese Silicon Valley. The high technology state in Wuhan is called Optical Valley. It is the country’s largest ba Wuhan boasts many natural and social advantages it sits on the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway by the Yangtze and Hanshui rivers and consists of three thriving towns.
Wuhan is my hometown; I was living in the beautiful city under 3 years old. I want to work at the lovely three towns.
