1老鼠

Rats are the animals I fear the most.

They are hairy they have sharp claw long tails and can hurt people easily. I'm very disgusted by them. Rats very often hide in apartments and appear unexpectedly.

One day when I was sleeping in my room. A rat ran across my body and made some noise as if he was trying to say hello to me . Afterwards I cleaned my room and discovered two or three little rats! I was shocked because rats breed very quickly. From then on we set up mouse traps around the apartment to catch them. We also paced poison in the corners of the apartment to kill them.

Rats are really disgusting.

老鼠是我最害怕的动物。它们有毛，有锋利的爪子，长长的尾巴，容易伤人。我很讨厌他们。老鼠经常躲在公寓里，出乎意料地出现。

有一天，当我在我的房间睡觉。一只老鼠跑过我的身体，发出一点声音，好像他在跟我打招呼。后来，我打扫我的房间，发现了两个或三个小老鼠！我很震惊，因为老鼠繁殖得很快。从那时起，我们在公寓周围设置捕鼠器来捕捉它们。我们也在公寓的角落里用毒药来杀死他们。

老鼠真恶心。

2老鼠开会

One day the mice had a meeting to talk about the way to deal with their common enemy. Some said this and some said that.

At last a young mouse got up and said that he had a good idea.

"We could tie a bell around the neck of the cat. Then when he comes near we can hear the sound of the bell and run away."

Everyone approved of this proposal but an old wise mouse got up and said "That is all very well but who will tie the bell to the cat?" The mice looked at each other but nobody spoke.

从前，一所房子里面有一只大猫，他抓住了很多偷东西的老鼠。

一天，老鼠在一起开会商量如何对付他们共同的敌人。会上大家各有各的主张，最后，一只小老鼠站出来说他有一个好主意。

“我们可以在猫的脖子上绑一个铃铛，那么如果他来到附近，我们听到铃声就可以马上逃跑。”　

大家都赞同这个建议，这时一只聪明的老耗子站出来说：“这的确是个绝妙的主意，但是谁来给猫的脖子上绑铃铛呢?”老鼠们面面相觑，谁也没有说话。

3城里老鼠和乡下老鼠

Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in the country; the other mouse lived in the city. After many years the Country mouse saw the City mouse; he said "Do come and see me at my house in the country." So the City mouse went. The City mouse said "This food is not good and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city."

The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. The City mouse cried " Run! Run! The cat is coming!" They ran away quickly and hid.

After some time they came out. When they came out the Country mouse said "I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer to be poor and happy than to be rich and afraid."

从前，有两只老鼠，它们是好朋友。一只老鼠居住在乡村，另一只住在城里。很多年以后，乡下老鼠碰到城里老鼠，它说：“你一定要来我乡下的家看看。”于是，城里老鼠就去了。乡下老鼠领着它到了一块田地上它自己的家里。它把所有最精美食物都找出来给城里老鼠。城里老鼠说：“这东西不好吃，你的家也不好，你为什么住在田野的地洞里呢？你应该搬到城里去住，你能住上用石头造的漂亮房子，还会吃上美味佳肴，你应该到我城里的家看看。”

乡下老鼠就到城里老鼠的家去。房子十分漂亮，好吃的东西也为他们摆好了。可是正当他们要开始吃的时候，听见很大的一阵响声，城里的老鼠叫喊起来：“快跑！快跑！猫来了！”他们飞快地跑开躲藏起来。

过了一会儿，他们出来了。当他们出来时，乡下老鼠说：“我不喜欢住在城里，我喜欢住在田野我的洞里。因为这样虽然贫穷但是快乐自在，比起虽然富有却要过着提心吊胆的生活来说，要好些。”
