My college life

Good evening everybody! I am honored to participate this final. My name is XXX, and Crystal is my English name. I am from Environmental and Chemical Engineering Department. My major is Environmental Monitoring and Governance Technology. Now let me share my college life with you.

Before I attend college, I knew nothing about my future, and just because of the ardor for environment, I chose the major I study now. But I told myself: College life is an exploring process. Therefore, I stepped the way of exploring future.

In the early campus life, some teachers told us: As a student, your duty is to study. I nodded. However, the other teachers said: College life is colorful, you should enjoy yourself. “My God! What’s up?” In that period, I was very confused.

Later, I did a lot of attempts such as work for the dining room of our school, sold the goods from door to door and played a worker’s roal in a factory on the last summer holiday in Tianjin. Of course,I suffered a variety of setback. But they didn’t shake my determination of exploring future any more.

Now,two years past, the ambiguous future life becomes clear. I realize how to go on my life, though it doesn’t go as my planning way, I know how to adjust myself. College life is an exploring process, and through those, I have found my answer.

So I really thank my college life, and I believe it will be a pretty experience for my life.

My favorite Animal-Black Faced Spoonbill

Good afternoon, dear judges. Today my speech is “I love black-faced spoonbill.

On a beautiful winter day, I happened to meet the lovely spirit----

Black Faced Spoonbill, a type of migratory bird, which spends winter at Hong-Shu-Lin in my city every year. Covered with snow-white feathers, it has black legs and a black beak. Besides the blacks and whites, an amazing splash of yellow is under its neck. So elegant that I couldn’t help loving it at first sight.

With a big and spoon-shaped beak, it can clasp fishes easily, which makes it a powerful hunter in birds.

However, with human expansion and pollution, only around 2000 ones are living all over the world.

Like the eleven swan princes in Andersen’s Fairy Tale, the Black Faced Spoonbills have always been struggling to find a tiny rock which can offer them a momentary tranquility. Fortunately, they have found one in my beloved home. I would always hold them dearly to my heart and wish they would return with flocks of chicks in the following years, and singing…

Oh, I have a home, such a beautiful home, where I play and rest happily.

Oh, give them a home, such a wonderful home, where the spoonbills play all day.

我最爱的动物——黑脸琵鹭

尊敬的评委，女士们 ，先生们:

大家下午好！我今天演讲的题目是“我喜欢黑脸琵鹭”。

在一个美丽的冬日里，我偶遇了这可爱的精灵----黑脸琵鹭。这是一种候鸟，每年都会来深圳的红树林度过他们的冬天。覆盖着雪白雪白的羽毛，他们有黑色的长腿和鸟嘴。黑白之间，那一抹令人惊叹的黄色隐约在脖子下。如此的优雅，让我禁不住一眼便爱上了它！

有着大大的、勺子似的长嘴，他轻而易举的就能捕到鱼儿，这使他成为了鸟类中捕食的好手！

但是，由于人类的不断扩张和环境污染，存活在世界上的黑脸琵鹭仅约2000只！

正如安徒生童话中的那11位天鹅王子一样，黑脸琵鹭也一直奋力地寻找着一块能给予他们片刻喘息的小小礁石！幸运的是，他们找到了，那就是我可爱的家---深圳！我将永远把黑脸琵鹭珍放在我心里，也期盼着来年冬天他们带着他们的宝宝再回来，快乐地歌唱着……

啊，我有一个家，一个美丽的家！在这里，我自由飞翔、快乐生息……

hello everyone,My name is Duan Jiayu, English name is Daisy, seven years old this year, first grade in Daxing.I am very pleased to attend the "star of hope" English contest.

My hobby is climbing and hiking, when I was only two years old,my grandma took me to climb the Longevity Hill of the summer palace, longevity hill has 60 meters, I climbed the mountain with hands and feet, clothes and pants stained with dirt, just like a soil monkey. The tourists thumbs compliment me, I was very proud of it! At that time, our slogan was: "longevity hill training, Fragrant hills challenge!"

At the age of five, my grandmother and I climbed the Fragrant Hills, the top of the hill has almost 600 meters, we had reached the top of the hill in one hour, this year my grandmother and I will climb the Fragrant Hills every weekend, higher challenge to Taishan!

我叫段嘉誉，英文名字daisy ，今年七岁，在大兴五小上一年级。很高兴参加“希望之星”英语风采大赛。

我的爱好是爬山，从两岁开始姥姥就带着我爬颐和园的万寿山，万寿山只有60米，当时我只有两岁多，爬山时手脚并用，裤子衣服沾满了土，整个人像土猴儿一样。游客们伸出大拇指夸奖我，我很自豪！当时我们的口号是：“万寿山练兵，挑战香山！”

从五岁开始我和姥姥爬香山，香炉峰海拔600米，我们一个小时能登顶，今年我和姥姥准备每周爬一次香山，向更高的泰山挑战！

我们的口号是：“香山练兵，挑战泰山！”
